How we handle your data.

VF Method is a private coaching app built and run by Marc Vaccaro. It exists so Marc can coach you — your training, your nutrition, your progress — between sessions. That means we collect some personal information. This page explains exactly what, why, who can see it, and how to get it back or delete it.

We don't sell your data. We don't run ads. There is no third party buying your information from us. The people and services that touch your data are listed below, and they're there to make the app work — nothing else.

What we collect

You give us this directly:

• Account info — your name and email address.
• Body & composition data — body weight, body fat or lean mass, and the figures used to compute your nutrition targets.
• Nutrition data — meals and foods you log, custom foods you create, and your macro and calorie targets.
• Training data — your program, completed workouts, lifts and personal records, movement skills you're working on, and your training preferences.
• Daily check-ins — your energy, soreness, and sleep ratings.
• Messages — anything you send to Marc (and his replies) inside the app.
• Profile photos and progress photos — only if you choose to add them.

We may also collect, automatically:

• Basic diagnostics — crash reports and error logs, so we can fix what breaks.

We do not collect precise location, contacts, browsing history, or advertising identifiers.

How we use it

• To coach you. Your data is the raw material of the coaching relationship. Marc reads your check-ins, watches your weight trend and training streaks, and adjusts your program and nutrition accordingly. He may be alerted when something looks worth a conversation — a sharp weight drop, a stretch of missed training, a dip in sleep.
• To run the app. Compute your nutrition targets, track progress, surface PRs, and keep your history in sync across your devices.
• To power the in-app AI assistant (Atlas). When you use Atlas — for restaurant, travel, or recipe help — your message and relevant plan context are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to generate a response. Anthropic processes this on our behalf and does not use it to train its models.
• To fix problems. Diagnostics help us find and squash bugs.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we never sell it.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers who help us run VF Method, and only as much as they need:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider. Your account and app data are stored here. Supabase processes data on our instructions as a data processor.
• Anthropic — powers the Atlas AI assistant. Only the content you send to Atlas, plus relevant plan context, is shared, and only when you use that feature.
• Stripe — handles coaching payments. We never store full card numbers; Stripe handles that.

That's the whole list. No data brokers, no advertisers.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account, so your history stays intact. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we remove it from our active systems within 30 days, except where we're legally required to keep certain records longer (for example, payment records for tax purposes). Backups are purged on a rolling basis.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

• Access a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Correct anything that's wrong.
• Delete your account and your data.

To do any of these, email vaccarofit@gmail.com. We'll respond within 30 days. If you're in the EU/UK, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. If you're in California, you have the rights described under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them — and since we don't sell or "share" data for advertising, there's nothing to opt out of on that front.

Children's privacy

VF Method is built for adults working with a coach. It is not intended for anyone under 16, and we don't knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a minor has given us their information, email us and we'll delete it.

International transfers

We're based in the United States, and our providers (Supabase, Anthropic) may process data in the United States and other countries. If you're using the app from outside the US, your data will be transferred to and processed in the US, which may have different data protection laws than your home country. By using VF Method, you consent to that transfer. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) with our providers.

Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest by our providers, and access is limited to Marc and the systems that run the app. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable, current measures to protect your information.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know in the app. Continuing to use VF Method after a change means you accept the updated policy.
